Diurnal Dance

Diurnal Dance examines the tension between action and immovable structures. The paintings place figures within rigid interiors— columns and domestic spaces— that reference social and institutional frameworks which speak the language of reform, yet quietly enforce the existing order of white heteronormal supremacy. Though these structures appear to fracture under collective pressure, they remain intact for those in power, reflecting the experience of struggling within systems that permit movement but resist transformation.
