Angels embody the ideals we aspire to—purity, goodness, grace, and the hope that living well will be rewarded. Yet these ideals are rarely experienced without contradiction.
The Distressed Angels series explores the distance between moral perfection and lived experience. Layers of clay, glaze, and exposed surfaces suggest forms shaped by pressure rather than preserved from it. Instead of presenting perfection, these vessels ask whether our worth has ever depended on remaining pure.

Art Shaped by Lived Experience
I make objects that explore relationships, trust, and the values that give life meaning. Created for the home, they serve as both functional objects and gentle reminders that beauty and hardship often exist side by side.

Two intestinal beings support a bowl while an angel emerges between them. In Spanish, confiar means "to trust." Embedded within the word are con fe, meaning "with faith." Together, they suggest that trust is sustained through faith, especially when certainty in our relationships is impossible.
This bowl serves as a daily reminder that healthy relationships are built not on guarantees, but on the continual practice of trust.
